Traxtal's adaptors are designed to assist you in normal field use as well as in or prototyping new instruments or procedures. In the field, these adaptors enable you to place a tracker or reference base where  you  want it, rather than what the instrumentation allows.

For prototyping and experimenting, our adaptors are ideal for trying out new ideas in tracker placement. Instead of waiting weeks or months for a new version of an instrument to be built, a Traxtal adaptor can be used to immediately test combinations of potential placements. Only when you are sure, need the effort in creating a custom instrument be expended.

Traxtal's adaptors are compatible with either the AdapTrax active tracking system or the PassTrax passive tracking system as well as all Traxtal clamps and screw fixation methods. They are a powerful addition to any instrument set enabling you to overcome most unforeseen situations in the field.

The newest addition to Traxtal's line of adaptors is the ADT-010 variable instrument adaptor, which allows instant attachment of a cylindrical instrument (2 and 10mm in diameter) to an AdapTrax Tracker. The variable adaptor is available in an all-plastic form as well as standard materials, and is perfect for attachment of off-the-shelf endoscopes, suction devices etc., or just for prototyping or one-off applications. The variable instrument adaptor is most versatile when used with the TC002 calibration block, allowing the trajectory and tip of attached instruments to be instantly calibrated.

We have also added a 0/0/0 adaptor (ADT011) that can be used with our locking screws to provide an extremely stable attachment in even severely degraded surface.
